About me

Hello! I'm Saul, a London-based Cinematographer, Self-Shooter and Editor.

I was born and raised in the green-laden countryside of Nottingham, where I first fell in love with film and photography. Stealing my dad’s handycam provided years of visual exploration, but eventually I had to learn how to use a proper camera. To do this I moved to Bristol to study filmmaking, where I eventually specialised in Cinematography.

After graduating, I landed a job at a production company working on TVCs, corporate content and branded films as a Camera Op and Lighting Assistant…a brilliant grounding in how sets actually run. From there I moved to London and became Head of Video for a leading fashion brand, before going freelance.

These days I work across social ads, music videos, branded docs, short films and fashion campaigns. I love the variety. One week I might be leading a large multi-cam shoot and annoying my AC’s with my incesant ramblings, and the next I'm out solo-shooting on location with my Sony FX6 package.

What gives me energy is creating an atmospheric and emotive visual language for my projects. As London’s resident Gen Z DoP, I bridge the gap between high-end commercial production and fast-moving digital campaigns.
